About the Gallery

With the majority of their expertise culled in European cities renowned for their cultural and artistic influences, such as Berlin, Cologne, and Zurich, and over sixty years cumulative experience trading on the global art market, Wolfgang Roth and his partner Reiner Opoku maintain that a gallery’s focus should encompass more than just revenue. By combining their resources they have embraced the edifying potential of Miami’s culturally thriving art scene.

The gallery will serve as a vehicle to establish world-class exhibitions and is committed to positive community engagement and social contributions. With six openings per calendar year featuring both blue chip and leading contemporary works by artists such as Georg Baselitz, Gerhard Richter, Peter Beard, Andy Warhol, and David LaChapelle as well as emerging talents, the venue offers a rare collection of art currently unavailable in the Miami market.

Wolfgang Roth & Partners Fine Art will host events such as artist talks, tours, and charitable auctions. In addition, Wolfgang Roth will lead a new lecture series at the gallery on the art of art investing commencing in January of 2009. An art advisor for over thirty years, Roth founded TheArtFund, the only publicly traded art investment fund, which demonstrates the value of art as a high-turnover commodity. Roth will focus on themes on art collecting, the art market and investing during an economic recession.

The art scene in Miami is newly vibrant and full of promise; however, historically it has been rather narrowly focused. Miami has the natural ability to attract people from all over the world and to grab their attention socially.  With respect to art, Wolfgang Roth & Partners, Fine Art opened as an attempt to offer a broader perspective to the Miami arts community through unique exhibitions which invite deeper thought about contemporary art - Wolfgang Roth.
